Wenchang 9-2/9-3/10-3 gas field, 146 kilometers away from the eastern coast of Wenchang City, Hainan Province, managed to use 16 sets local produced valves in its project for the first time. These valves include subsea gate valves and subsea ball valves which are mainly used in subsea manifold system (PLEM).
Neway finished the valve design, manufacturing and type test (including API 6A PR2 test, hyperbaric test and longevity test) by strictly complying with relevant international standards and client specifications, which eventually qualified by Lloyd's and experts from CNOOC. With all these efforts, Neway successfully obtained the domestic manufacturing task for subsea valves. During the execution of the order, Neway allocated the superior resources and strictly controlled all aspects of the production with the witness by Lloyd’s for the whole process to ensure product quality and reliability. This batch of subsea valves has been fully delivered in mid-March 2018.
With delivery of the first batch of domestic subsea valve, Neway broke the long-term monopoly of foreign manufacturers in this field which indicates Neway has entered the stage of mass production of subsea valves and will make continuous contributions to the nationalization strategy of national key marine equipment.
